Nasa says CME on Sun headed for Earth: Expected Arrival August 3rd
A filament is a large, bright feature extending outward from the Sun's surface, often in a loop shape. Filament is anchored to the Sun's surface in the photosphere, and extends outward into the Sun's corona. It is a long magnetic structure rising above the surface of the sun, filled with cool plasma. The flare and filament erupted at the same time, this suggests they are connected by long-range magnetic field lines. Some believe the flare may have accelerated the eruption of the filament. Eventually, a giant magnetic bubble of plasma broke and blasted out into space.
Expect the government and all observatories to be on high alert.They know a CME is coming, they can probably prepare for its arrival. The reason I find this particular story interesting is because the event being discussed continues to happen more frequently, and on a larger scale than prior events of such a magnitude. Is our solar system going through a time of great change? Should we spend more time laying under the stars? We will see how this particular CME effects earth on August 3rd. It will effect the area of earth facing the sun.

I find this all really funny, people panicking over the though of loosing mobile networks and power grids, sending us "100 years in the past".... 100 years? PAH! Humans have been here for around half a million years, we've survived bigger flares, supervolcanic eruptions, ice ages and actual pandemics, meteor crashes and all manner of things the Gods / Aliens / Creation or whatever can throw at us. What really worries me is how, according to the picture, the sun has become an oval... I thought it used to be round! Maybe it's going to divide in two -- like a cell -- and then all the nice people can have their own planet in a new 'carbon copy' solar system... and all the nasty people can stay here and live in the mess they are making!

I am amazed by all the comments on this story. People are getting out of control. This story is merely explaining the fact that a class 3 is expected to raidate on earth today. It is not doomsday. Goodness. It is simply explaining the event and questioning the rise in solar occurrences. People are turning this into something insane. It's more of an educational article about CME's than anything because no one in the mainstream media has mentioned it.

Basically, by using fractional reserve banking, if the central banks loan a government y millions (by swapping government bonds for credit), they can then loan commercial banks and other financial institutions 10y millions at a discount rate. These 10y millions are not covered by their assets and deposits, they're covered by the taxpayers - as we and our descendants will find to our cost. This is money/credit created out of thin air. The commercial banks, et al, can then do likewise and charge us any interest.
The present - completely unnecessary - global recession and "credit crunch" (hahaha) are all about the IBs calling in their loan debts (on money they have created out of nothing) and owning the entire Earth. I'm pretty sure that most of you, since you have the time to read and comment on a blog, aren't prepared for a world without electronic convenience. If you were, you wouldn't have the time to be reading any of this. In fact, you would have spend your money on something more useful than a computer.
It amazes me how much many of you dispise technology. We've advanced more in the last 100 years than we have in the past 500+, and more in the past 500 than in the past 2000, and its because we're using our most important muscle, our brain. When things like finding food and getting around become convenient instead of a task (as they have at least for most in the first world countries, those that'd be affected by a lack of electronics), we have the time to improve our society and culture. Look at modern medicine, for example. If we focused on the way things were and just getting by, we wouldn't have xrays or MRIs to find out what's wrong with somebody. We wouldn't have cancer survivers. People would be dying from disease, not living with it. A lot of you say that's the way it's supposed to be, survival of the fittest and what not, but why should it be? If we have the power to change the bad in the world and do good by saving people, why shouldn't we?
And finally, for all of the religious people who say that what happens is God's will, well in that case, he has willed us to create cures for diseases, efficient irrigation for higher crop yeilds, genetic modification to rid plants and animals of imperfections. If he didn't want us to do these things, he could prevent it.

I'm entertained by the whole 2012 thing, especially when tied to the ancient Mayan culture. There are many outcries against the 2012 end-of-the-world prophecies, but I'm impressed by the accuracy of the Mayan documentation of natural phenomenons.
More importantly, the Mayans did not predict the end of the world. It's just the end of a cycle, which no one knows exactly what. The doomsayers are just saying it's the apocalypse. Don't know what our scientists are saying.
This is very important scientific information that we should consider a real possibility. The sun has been comparatively quiet,lying dormant for a while now. Perhaps it has been resting, gathering its energy for the next big burst of energy. It would be nice to feel that this gathering event will correspond to the brand new global awakening which is about to transform politics as a tool of oppression by the few, to a wonderful age of freedom for the many .
